I tried this Free Auto-Responder. Once it was set up, I tested it on several emails that I have. Also had a few friends volunteer.

The first problem happened when the site went down for four days. This meant that when people went to the page to sign up for my newsletter and filled out the form, they were not able to be entered in to the list. I sent an email daily to their admin and never got a response or a bounced email to say the service was down. You would think there would be an email letting people know the service was back online...

The second problem... out of the eight people helping with the testing, five never got the confirmation email for them to validate their account.

While it seemed to deliver the messages without fail, it also delivered email from freefollowup trying to get the people on the list to purchase other products as if I was the one sending the emails. When people unsubscribed from these advertisements, it took them off my list...

The advertising would not have been a problem if it were low key and at the bottom of the emails I was sending out instead of their own separate emails...
